Ok, this shield is beautiful and at least 3x the thickness and weight as my department star. It was cheap because the bade number and box number do not match. I personally don’t see that as a problem. Bottom line, if you’re planning on wearing it on your uniform, it’s way to heavy but looks great on a belt clip. I wish they had a 5 point star version. The reverse enamel and panels make this 3-D. I don’t know who manufactured this but whomever did could make a ton offering custom

One should guess that from the number alone that these badge collections are one of my favorites, but one is for my sister, Sylvia, whom I met in person for the first time during the July 4th celebration in 2021. Two of the sets are for my two grandsons who loved all of my badges, pins, necklaces, hats and stickers supporting the Thin Blue Line. I let them pick out a few items when they were at my home on July 4th. Two of the sets go to two officers who did a welfare check on me two months ago when I was perfectly fine, but I fell asleep watching Body Cam and at around 1:30 AM, I heard this voice saying “calling 911.” I immediately stopped my iPhone before anyone answered it, but the dispatcher called me right back. I told her that I DID NOT dial 911 and I’m fine and had been sleeping since 10 PM. They asked my name and I gave it to them, but 15 minutes later, I heard a soft knocking on my front door. So I went to the door wearing my t shirt and underwear ( what I sleep in) and 20 yards away I saw two officers who had to know if I truly was ok. I was embarrassed, but overwhelmed that they had to make sure I wasn’t being held captive or afraid. I didn’t know how that call was made until 2 weeks later when Siri heard “call 911” from a TV program, but this time, I killed my phone before it dialed. I don’t know their names, but I’m dropping these 2 sets off for them. The last set is for me to remind me that heroes are real and God bless them.
