Remember to this day exactly what I was doing, who was with me and where I was standing when the “Breaking News” signal flashed across the TV screen. Just months before we’d moved from our home on Long Island to our retirement home in Pennsylvania. I was heartbroken and couldn’t believe what was happening. I bought 2...I expected them to be small...around 3/4”...but NO WAY. These are at least 1 1/4 - 1 1/2” at least and extremely well made. The colors are very bright. It’s definitely a piece to take pride in and honors all our hero’s of 9/11.

I was in the WTC before the attack and saw the first plane go in. After seeing the second one go in. I high tail out and got into my car. I knew from the heat the towers would go down. I was the last car over the George Washington Bridge before they closed the bridge and alone on the bridge I saw the first tower go down from there. I live upstate and not a day goes by or when I return to my office in lower Manhattan that I don't think of that day.
